Terms of Use

1. Subject and provider

These terms govern the use of Kruxmind (kruxmind.com / .cc / .app), operated by Alfredo Rodriguez Henriquez (see Legal Notice). By using the app, you accept these terms.

2. Account and age

The core app (timer, algorithms, trainers, statistics) can be used without an account and at any age in local mode. Performance features (analysis, self-assessments, performance-suite exercises) and Pro purchases require age verification (18). A cloud account, sync and personalizing your public nickname require being at least 16 (or your country's minimum age) and your consent. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.

3. Acceptable use

You may not: use the app for unlawful purposes or to infringe third-party rights; enter offensive, defamatory or inappropriate content in public fields (nickname, leaderboard nickname, room name); manipulate or falsify times, results or the daily challenge; harass other users in 1v1 or rooms; or attempt to access other users' accounts without authorization, breach the service's security, or automate its use beyond its intended purpose (scraping, bots). We may suspend or remove content, rooms or accounts that breach this, without prior notice if the severity warrants it. We are not responsible for the conduct or content generated by other users; if you experience an infringement by another user, contact us at info@kruxmind.com.

4. Pro plans and payments

Note (as of this update): purchasing via Google Play Billing is not technically active yet. In the meantime, every Pro plan purchase — whether started from the installed Google Play app or from a browser — is processed through Paddle, per the second paragraph of this section.

Pro plans are purchased via Google Play Billing. In the European Economic Area and most markets, Google acts as the seller (merchant of record): billing, taxes and refunds are governed by Google Play's terms. Current prices are shown in the app before purchase. Purchase requires confirming you are of legal age (18) or have guardian authorization (mandatory checkbox before payment). The 6-month plan has an initial 6-month commitment. Auto-renewal runs for a maximum of 1 year and can be cancelled up to 1 month before expiry, in line with German consumer contract law.

Pro plans purchased directly at kruxmind.com are processed through Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), which acts as the seller (merchant of record) for this purchase: billing, taxes and refunds are governed by Paddle's terms. Current prices are shown before purchase. Purchase requires confirming you are of legal age (18), mandatory checkbox before payment (Kruxmind does not offer a guardian-authorization path for minors; purchase is fully blocked for anyone under 18). 5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

Note: while purchasing via Google Play Billing is not active (see the note in §4 above), the right of withdrawal for every purchase is governed by Paddle's terms (the second case in this section), regardless of where the purchase was started.

As the purchase is made through Google Play, with Google as the seller in the EEA, the 14-day right of withdrawal and its exceptions for digital content and services are governed by Google Play's terms. To exercise withdrawal or request a refund, use Google Play's channels. If the purchase was made directly at kruxmind.com, with Paddle as the seller, the 14-day right of withdrawal and its exceptions for digital content and services are governed by Paddle's terms. 6. Intellectual property

The "Kruxmind" trademark (word mark, applied for with the DPMA, application no. 30 2026 232 692.7, not yet registered), the software, the texts and editorial content are the property of the provider or its licensors. Universal speedcubing terms (CFOP, OLL, PLL, etc.) are common knowledge. Your solving data belongs to you.

7. Warranties and liability

Kruxmind is provided "as is" and subject to availability. We make reasonable efforts to maintain the service and data integrity, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. For questions or issues: info@kruxmind.com, we handle them promptly. Kruxmind derives performance metrics from solving the cube; it is not a medical device or a clinical or health assessment (see Privacy Policy). Our liability is limited to the amount paid in the last twelve months. This does not affect the mandatory exceptions under EU/German law: intent and gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and essential contractual obligations (Kardinalpflichten). Data kept only on your device is your responsibility — back it up regularly, as we cannot recover it.

8. Data protection

Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.

Advertising

In Kruxmind (web version and installed app) we show advertising (Google AdSense) in certain free modules, only with your prior consent; details are in the "Advertising" section of the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; relevant changes will be announced in the app or by email.

10. Applicable law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by German law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the EU country where you reside. As a consumer, you retain your statutory forum; no mandatory arbitration is imposed. (No link to the EU ODR platform: it was shut down on 20 July 2025.)
